It depends on what you want to achieve and on the complexity and severity of the issues. Usually, beneficial results can be experienced within three to six months, although it is normal for things to feel worse before they improve. This is because the work can stimulate memories and strong emotions that need to be processed and integrated for lasting healing to occur. Compared to conventional therapy, changes that occur tend to be maintained. This is because the resulting art pieces serve as a visual and visceral reminder of the insights gained in therapy. The art helps keep us on track by emphasizing when the desired changes have been achieved.
60 min session = $120.00 + GST 5% (this includes any art materials used)
90 min session = $180.00 + GST 5%
Payment is expected at the beginning of the session to clear the rest of the session for the work. You can pay by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Let me know when you come in which form of payment you prefer.
Possibly. Check the exact provisions of your plan. Some EFAPs employ their own counsellors and will refer you to them. Others allow you to select your own counsellor, as long as they are a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Registered Psychologist. You simply submit receipts to your Plan holder for reimbursement.
That is no problem. As a FREE initial consultation, we can agree to meet in a local Café somewhere to discuss how Art Therapy might work for you.
24 hours notice on the previous business day must be given to cancel an appointment, otherwise the full session fee will be charged.
If a client is late, I will wait 30 minutes before cancelling the session and the full session fee will be charged. If a client arrives within that time, the session will continue with the remaining time allotted. The full session fee will be charged.
A $50.00 fee will be charged on all NSF cheques.
