The Meaning of Life is to give it Away.

My Core VALUES

INTEGRITY

Living with integrity means grounding myself in truth, honesty, and accountability. I don’t claim perfection, but I aim to meet each moment with my best effort. I am open and straightforward with clients, even when conversations are difficult. I don’t shy away from truth, because facing what is—rather than avoiding or minimizing it—is what creates real freedom.

When we ignore what’s uncomfortable, life often becomes smaller and less vital. As a therapist, my role is to gently support clients in reconnecting with their inner truth. When we touch our deepest longings, we open the door to living the life we were truly meant for.

“Truth, like gold, is to be obtained not by its growth, but by washing away from it all that is not gold.” ~ Leo Tolstoy

“Your own Self-Realization is the greatest service you can render the world.”
~  Ramana Maharshi

HARMONY

Life is a balancing act. Despite our efforts to stay in control, life’s ups and downs are inevitable. Our task is to remain centered and “go with the flow.”

By staying connected to our inner strength, we can face challenges with greater skill. In times of transition or upheaval, letting both mind and heart guide us, as well as listening to our bodies - helps restore balance and harmony.

When our own tools or support systems aren’t enough, working with a trained therapist can aid healing and help us find our footing once again.

Life is full of adventure. There's no such thing as a clear pathway.  ~ Guy Laliberte (Fondateur de Cirque du Soleil)

Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony. ~ Thomas Merton

COURAGE

Self-awareness takes courage and practice. With mindfulness, we learn to recognize our feelings, patterns, and the ways we’ve been hurt or have hurt others—giving us the choice to heal.

Life brings both pain and growth. When hardship outweighs joy, we can become stuck in limiting beliefs and inherited familial patterns—but often the way forward is through, by facing fears that are often smaller than they first seemed.

Not everyone is ready to do this inner work but for those who are, it is a privilege to walk with them into this deeper, meaningful territory.

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” ~ C. G. Jung

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” ~ Henry S. Haskins (most often attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson)

COMPASSION

Compassion is a deep, empathetic understanding of another’s suffering, paired with a genuine desire to ease it. I believe we are all profoundly interconnected, and when we truly recognize this, it becomes clear that projecting our pain onto others ultimately harms ourselves. The greatest barrier to compassion is often a lack of self-love.

My role is to help clients fully embrace who they are so they can open their hearts and minds—to themselves first, and then to others. From this shift in perspective, greater understanding and tolerance naturally emerge in the world.

“The more you know yourself, the more patience you have for what you see in others.” ~ Erik Erikson

“Compassion is the keen awareness of the interdependence of all things.”  ~ Thomas Merton

Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength. ~ Dalai Lama

JOY

I believe we enter the world full of curiosity and delight—open, trusting, and alive to possibility. Over time, many of us shut down these vital qualities in order to survive in the external world. Yet it is by consciously reconnecting with them that we rediscover the joy we were meant to embody.

I trust that joy is our essential nature, and that guided introspection can help awaken this fundamental truth. As the saying goes, “The meaning of life is to find one’s unique gift, and the purpose of life is to give it away.” When we share our gifts, we release joy into the world—and in doing so, we become even more joyful ourselves.

“We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy.” ~ Joseph Campbell

“Fearlessness is not only possible, it is the ultimate joy. When you touch non-fear, you are free.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

ADVENTURE

Life is an adventure. When we live fully in the present, its mystery and wonder naturally reveal themselves. For many, “Adventure” happens only on holidays, while daily life becomes familiar and routine. This habituation can blind us to the beauty that surrounds us.

With a simple shift in mindset, even the most ordinary places become alive with freshness and curiosity. We can cycle across countries, hike the Camino, climb mountains in Peru, or kayak in tropical waters—but adventure is also available every single day, right where we are.

Perhaps the greatest adventure of all is the exploration of our own inner world—a journey that can be profound, fulfilling, and deeply sacred.

“We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust swirling and dancing in eddies and whirlpools in infinity.  Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share.  This is a precious moment.” ~ Paulo Coelho
