ART THERAPY

How long does it take?

It depends on your goals and the complexity of the issues. Many people notice benefits within three to six months, though it’s normal for things to feel worse before improving - as strong emotions & memories emerge for processing and integration. Compared to conventional therapy, changes are often longer-lasting because the art created serves as a visual, visceral reminder of insights gained and helps track when desired changes have been achieved.

ART Therapy/Counselling - Fees

Couples & Family Therapy 60 min = $170.00

Individual 90 min session = $200.00

* Fees follow the recommended fee structure of the BC Clinical Counsellors Association: https://bcacc.ca/bcacc-fee-guide-2024/

Payment options?

Payment is due at the start of the session to allow time for gentle integration at the end. You may pay by cash, cheque, or e-transfer.

Are fees covered by EFAP (Employee & Family Assistance Plans) or other Extended Health Benefits Plans?

Possibly. Coverage depends on your specific plan. Some EFAPs use their own counsellors, while others allow you to choose your own. In that case, you must submit receipts to your plan for reimbursement.

What if I need a Face to Face consultation before deciding to come for therapy?

No problem. As a free initial consultation, we can meet at a local café to discuss how Art Therapy might work for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice on the previous business day; otherwise, the full session fee will be charged.

Late arrival policy?

If a client is late, I will wait up to 30 minutes before cancelling the session, and the full fee will apply. If the client arrives within that time, the session will continue for the remaining time, with the full fee charged.

NSF Cheques(Not sufficient funds) policy?

A $50.00 fee will be charged on all NSF cheques.
